OUR PROJECT

We own and manage the most important collection in the world dedicated to the iconography of Galileo Galilei, comprising over 2000 pieces. Our museum features an educational and multimedia setting designed to engage visitors and highlight the significance of Galileo's contributions to science and culture. As both a tourist and cultural attraction, it aims to inspire and educate through a rich array of exhibits and interactive experiences.

Our library houses a remarkable collection of books and manuscripts from the 5th to the 19th century by Arab authors produced in Europe. This collection underscores the significant impact of influential figures such as Ibn Sina and Ahmad Ibn Rushd on Western thought. We aim to raise awareness among visitors about the profound contributions of these scholars to global intellectual history.

The Study Centre collaborates with local and international universities to organize 'Summer Schools' and other academic programs. This initiative demonstrates the host Gulf country’s commitment to future- oriented education and new technologies. By fostering global academic partnerships, we aim to support research and innovation in the context of Islamic and scientific heritage.

Explore our Maps Project, which focuses on the preservation and study of historic maps from the Islamic Golden Age. This project showcases the advanced cartographic knowledge of the period and its impact on navigation and geographical understanding. It aims to make these invaluable resources available for scholarly research and public appreciation.
